We are currently in the early stages of growth and building a dedicated team of passionate individuals who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to help us achieve our vision.

While these roles are voluntary and unpaid for now, we aim to secure funding in the future to compensate our team for their hard work. Our ultimate goal is to expand beyond virtual programs and establish a physical location where we can further serve the community.

Key Roles on Our Team

1. Secretary

Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain minutes of all board meetings.
  • Manage and organize organizational documents and correspondence.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling board and member meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

2. Treasurer

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organization’s financial health and compliance with IRS nonprofit standards.
  • Manage budgets, bookkeeping, and financial reports.
  • Assist in creating fundraising and grant strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting, finance, or nonprofit management.
  • Knowledge of financial tools and software is a plus.

3. Program Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee virtual health and wellness programs such as the Jump Rope Club.
  • Develop schedules and content for activities, workshops, and challenges.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for programs and events.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and community service.

4. Fundraising and Outreach Chair

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to secure funding through grants, donations, and sponsorships.
  • Plan fundraising events and campaigns to support Aliʻi Ola’s mission.
  • Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in marketing, fundraising, or event planning is preferred.

5. Volunteer Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers for virtual programs and events.
  • Maintain volunteer schedules and ensure smooth communication.
  • Recognize and support volunteers for their contributions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Previous experience working with volunteers is a plus.

Volunteer Opportunities

1. Online Jump Rope Program Support

  • Facilitate Zoom sessions for the Jump Rope Club, helping participants stay engaged and motivated.

2. Facebook Community Group Moderation

  • Maintain and moderate the Aliʻi Ola Facebook community group.
  • Encourage discussions, respond to posts, and share valuable resources.

3. Weekly Online Challenges

  • Help design, promote, and track weekly online challenges for health and wellness.

Commitment: Volunteer roles are flexible and can be tailored to fit your schedule.

Future Goals

Our long-term vision includes:

  • Funding Compensation: As we grow and secure funding, we aim to compensate team members for their time and dedication.
  • Physical Program Expansion: Establishing a physical location to host in-person events, workshops, and programs alongside our virtual offerings.
